COLLECTION & DISCLOSURE
Information that you choose to share with us via our website, our online store, or any other interaction is protected by us. This includes, but is not limited to, basic contact information, credit card and payment information, email addresses, email messages, phone numbers, purchases, and purchase history. We do not share any of your information with third parties, except third parties necessarily involved with processing a purchase made on our online store.
We do not send spam. You will never receive email from us with embedded links to any domain that is not denttools.ca. All email we send is checked and verified clear of malicious or intrusive malware prior to being transmitted. We do not send account details, payment requests, or any marketing solicitation by automated email. We will only contact you electronically (email, text) if you have requested us to do so, and only then for matters relating directly to orders from our online store.
We collect information from you pursuant to a purchase from our online store, including your name, email address, phone number, address, purchase and payment details. We retain this information for a maximum of 12 months following the completion of your order, subject to our records retention obligations under applicable tax law. We do not retain credit card information in our database longer than is necessary to fulfill your order. We temporarily store your credit card information to complete your order, after which we erase it except for the last four digits (to expedite follow-up enquiries or billing issues). Whenever we store your credit card information in a database or send your credit card information over the internet we encrypt it. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we manage your credit card information using Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).
Notwithstanding the foregoing, we reserve the right to retain anonymized data about purchases on our online store indefinitely for statistical analysis.
“COOKIES” AND TRACKING INFORMATION
If you visit our online store, we will save a small amount of data on your computer. This data includes personally identifying information. As you interact with our online store, we collect that information in addition to your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address. We do this to keep track of what products you are interested in ordering, and to keep the checkout experience efficient and secure. We do not track your interaction with any other site or service. Here is a summary of the information we store on your computer
- A unique session id (random number to identify your interaction with our Service).
- The contents of your shopping cart, if you visit our online store.
- Your name, contact, and payment information, if you order from our online store.
All of this information is automatically erased when your computer’s browser determines your session with us has ended (generally when you close the tab or window used to access our site).
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
